Project 2- toy ideas - Lena Hong

1. it is a carboard car mad out of spring. it's easy to make, and the spring makes it fun to use. it doesnt has to be a car, it can be made into anything that the user wants.

2. is a glove with faces;many of them are out already, but there isnt
any glove with more than one face, so i put the connector at the back
so that it can show the mood of the user

3. is a caterpillar with all the body parts unattached. there is a magnet on the sides, so the user can play with it and make it into different shapes. each body parts has different colours and shapes

4. is a throwing game, but instead of regular throwing game, there is a magnet attached on the end of the sticks and in an empty can and those magnets are in opposite side, so it cannot be attached quickly. it is for
older users to use other than kids

5. is a board game for ages 19 and up
it is aboard game that the users are suppose to
guess the types/names of alchohol beverages,
such as wines,cocktails, etc.

6. is a toy for younger kids; regular one has a blocks and shapes but instead this one had supoerheros attached and the users can move it freely. on the background there are monsters

*I'll officially upload the feedback after you provide further explanation.. I didn't get some of your ideas.

1. I didn't get the idea fully.. what is the spring for exactly?

2. I like the idea of emotional connection of the glove with the user :) It reminds me of the gloves that have different faces and colors for each finger. It's practical, cute and fun. Keep in mind that the "head" part would be too thick when it's layered making it difficult to move fingers; it might help if you use thinner cloth for the head.

3. check out :

it seems caterpillar is such an interesting object in toy industry.

I think my nephew has one too. Btws, so it's basically each of those soft beans/balls has two magnets inside so that they can stick together creating a caterpillar shape as a whole.. I think you can also use Velcro.. I still prefer using magnet 'cause Velcro is a dust collector.

4. It's fun and playful, but I don't get the usefulness of magnetic repulsion. Once the stick falls into the can/basket, it
stays in it- it won't fall off unless the magnetism is very strong.
It makes more sense if the target is placed parallel to the direction of the thrown stick's onward movement (e.g. on the wall) so that it HAS TO be stuck on a certain spot in order to avoid falling down. But then it'll be just a dart game. So I think it needs more specific functionality of the magnetic in the can/basket.

5. I'd like to hear more about the game.. like the players are supposed to guess based on what etc

6. Just an idea - it'll be fun if the superheroes' miniature actually go through the monsters' mouth (like rollercoasters) or attack them somehow... ok I've gone too far. I think it's a cute idea- Superman flying. I'd like to see Spiderman climbing up a building too.

Hi Lena:

I'm attracted to the collectible and collective nature of your caterpillar. Perhaps they'd be purchased as individual components, hidden from view, like a Kinder Surprise toy?
