This blog is dedicated to Jesse and Tori's Wednesday evening section of Principles of Experience Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design, Winter 2008.
I think the pinata game is an awesome stress relief..plus you get CANDY!! and entertain ppl by doing stupid things. The last idea with the real size game is awesome too! its just a cool way of thinking outside the box!
Toilet Paper Word Search Cool idea. I like that it’s simple and also pretty funny. You could also put the answer for the word search right after the word search on the next sheet of toilet paper. Good use of ockham’s razor because with your clever toilet paper word search you can have a series of word searches and just rip off or throw away what you finished. I think you could also improve this game’s mood by making a plunger pen or something (goes with the toilet paper theme).
The Dancing Game I think I understand the main parts of the game but I don’t really understand this game fully. I like you sketches. I think this game is fun because you get to be active in theis game. When making the instructions for this game you can also add some iconic representation with your text(instructions). I think you could also have a time limit or limit the duration of the rounds to one song then go to the next round.
The Let’s get really drunk game I think to improve this game you could also add a spot where when you pass this spot (on the coloured spot board) you have to take a drink (sort of like when you pass go in monopoly and collect 200).
The Piñata Game I like this game a lot. Sounds very fun and awesome. I think this game is fun because you get to be silly and be very active. I think this game is good for all ages. I like that this is a group activity. Only concern is that when the piñata is broken the game is over. I would probably want to play this game again.
Dart game This would be a fun group activity. And I like that it’s simple. I like the 2nd idea with the faces because I think it makes good use of storytelling by adding characters. It lets the audience be involved by character identification. I think this game could be more challenging if the dartboard also rotated in a circular motion, but it is also already challenging because it is a dartboard (and I’m not skilled).
Life Size board game I like this game. I really like the fact that everything is life size. It sets a fun game mood. This game also allows the players to make their own board path because they can place the board mats anywhere around the room. I think you can enhance this game’s mood by making the board mats multicoloured and with unique shapes.
Could the giant dice do away with the board altogether? Could you devise a game played at the urban scale? It's the pyscho-geography game! That would certainly appeal to me. . .
Like a Parcours, but on an even grander scale.

Games that engage the city are very contemporary (did you hear about the light-sabre battle at the ROM) and topical for Project 3.
