This blog is dedicated to Jesse and Tori's Wednesday evening section of Principles of Experience Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design, Winter 2008.
The Soap Buddy was a cute toy, with very simple affordances. The tactile feeling of the toy is what makes it fun, although it would probably work best if it were made of rubberized plastic for the body and some kind of rounded, stainless steel for the 'fork' bits which would attach it to the soap.
The potential to collect the different soap buddies is a large part of what makes this product fun. Having celebrity Soap Buddies could make this a kitsch toy that would appeal to the emo or hipster crowd.
