This blog is dedicated to Jesse and Tori's Wednesday evening section of Principles of Experience Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design, Winter 2008.
Why is it fun? Well because where people need advice they also need humour. Ninjas are so damn good that they are subject of ridicule, as with most of the variations of "What would so-and-so Do?"
How is it fun? well its simple, you press a button and get a laugh and some life lessons. It's portable, offers different versions such as "What would a Pirate do" and I think should offer "What Would Goku Do?" its just great for some laughs
Who is it fun for? Me! anyone who can relate or appreciates any one of the different subjects represented (Ninja, Pirate, Chuck Norris, what-have-you)
This device gives very simple affordances at the press of a button. It's easy enough for anyone to pick up and use.
The actual fun occurs when the answers given are either very appropriate or wildly inappropriate. The first gives a disturbing sense that the device is actually more prescient than an inanimate object could be, and the second because of the absurdity that following its advice could cause.
I could see this game appealing mostly to boys - the california surfer type or the gangster and hipster groups.

I like the idea but ninjas are not to be mocked!
